Humanizing a novel or a book that has been generated by AI or inspired by AI is a two-step process.
I’ll first go through the book and edit as much as I can, working on an outline that makes sense for the book, improving the readability of the work, when it comes to emotions, the psychology of the characters, their behaviour, flow, tone, writing style and making sure there aren’t any blatant errors or repetition of the same phrases.
The second step is about implementing the solutions for the remaining problems, improving readability, copy editing, and a last proofread, so that the book would sound and feel like it was written by an expert human writer.
AI-generated text lacks the originality, nuance, depth and consistency that only a human writer can bring. An AI-generated narrative falls short on all elements of writing, including, dialogue, descriptions, characterization, plotting, flow, tone, readability, etc.
This gig is part full editing (developmental, line/copy-editing, proofreading), part ghost-writing, and part sensitivity read. Characters that are written by AI do not have human emotions, reactions and behaviour.
